New Work Exhibit

Last night we celebrated the opening night of our New Works Exhibit featuring Deborah Gooch as well as the close of our first winter season at 20 East Ocean. The turn out was fantastic! It is wonderful to see so many interesting people in one place! Thanks for being here and supporting us.

Deborah Gooch's work looks great in the studio. The intensity of color and quirky humor make me smile throughout the day. If you didn't get a chance to see them, come by and take a look. I have to say, Practice, is my favorite, I think it needs a permanent home at our house.

Dennis Aufiery's new paintings of the sand ridges near Jupiter are amazing. The large painting Burnt Over Scrub, 60 x 61,is is the first thing you see as you walk into the studio. Suddenly you're not in downtown Stuart but walking up a high ridge working your way through new palmettos and broom sedge in colors you have never really seen out there but yet really are there. Dennis talks about the notion of Being there, in a particular moment. We too Are there with him.
